Only a very small amount is needed. A tiny pinch is enough to fill the pendant. I will supply a 5ml phial - you only need to half fill this.
I will send the phial back with any unused ashes. They are never discarded or used for any other purpose.
If you are not local to Bristol, I provide a small glass vial with a secure cork and a return envelope. You can send the ashes back using tracked post. If you prefer, you can also deliver them in person.
Yes. If you are near Bristol, we can meet for a short chat. If not, we can speak online. I always like to talk to clients before I begin so the process feels personal and clear.
Yes. Many clients choose to honour a much loved pet in the same way. The process is exactly the same.
Silver is the most common choice, because, quite frankly gold is so very expensive! But I love making pieces in gold so it is entirley up to you and your budget.
The pictures on this website show the original 'Bink' pendant. But it is entirely up to you what you have engraved on the non-textured side of pendannt. Or you may prefer a polished or satin finish. Its up to you.
The pendant comes with a sterling silver chain. You can choose between curb, spiga or trace. If you already have a favourite chain, I can make the bail to fit it.
The process depends on hallmarking, engraving and how quickly I receive the ashes. I will give you a clear timescale once we speak. I always keep clients updated.
Yes. Every silver or gold pendant is sent to the assay office for hallmarking to meet UK regulations.
Yes. Many clients like to see a few photos or a short video of their pendant being made. I can share these once I begin working on it.
You will receive a small care pack with a polishing cloth and simple instructions. Silver naturally develops a patina over time. A quick polish will keep it bright. The main thing is not to get it too wet and don't expose it to nasty chemicals
At the moment I only work with UK clients because of the sensitive nature of handling ashes. This may change in the future.
Prices vary depending on metal, engraving and the chain. I provide a guide price for sterling silver and confirm the full cost during the consultation.
