These terms explain how commissions, consultations and purchases work at Atom Heart Gold.
By contacting me or commissioning a pendant you agree to the following.
1. About the service
Each pendant is handmade by Max Thompson in Bristol.
Every piece is made individually and may vary slightly in size, texture or finish. This is normal for handmade work.
2. Consultations
Before I begin, we will have a consultation to:

Confirm metal and chain choices

Explain how ashes are handled

Agree how ashes will be sent or delivered

Answer any questions you may have
You are not committed until you confirm your commission.
3. Prices and payment
Prices vary depending on metal, engraving and the chain.
A guide price for sterling silver is listed on the website.
A deposit may be required before work begins.
The full cost must be paid before delivery or collection.
Gift cards must be paid for in full at purchase.
4. Sending ashes
If you send ashes by post, you are responsible for packaging them safely.
I cannot accept liability for lost or delayed post.
Ashes are kept secure and handled with care at every stage.
Any unused ashes are returned to you as agreed.
5. Hallmarking and engraving
All silver and gold items are hallmarked in line with UK law.
Engraving is based on the wording you provide.
I am not responsible for errors in the text if it was supplied incorrectly.
6. Handmade nature of the work
Each pendant is formed, textured and polished by hand.
Small variations are expected and are not faults.
7. Refunds and cancellations
As each pendant is custom made, refunds cannot be offered once work has started.
If you need to cancel before any work begins, please contact me as soon as possible.
Gift cards are non refundable.
8. Delivery
You can collect in person or choose insured delivery.
Delivery times vary depending on engraving, hallmarking and couriers.
I will keep you updated throughout.
I am not liable for delays caused by postal or courier services.
9. Loss or damage
I take great care handling ashes and making each pendant.
If a problem occurs on my side, I will contact you immediately to discuss solutions.
